SAMMY HAGAR To Help MEAT LOAF Celebrate 35th Anniversary Of 'Bat Out Of Hell'

October 24, 2012

Sammy Hagar (CHICKENFOOT, VAN HALEN) will join Meat Loaf on stage tonight (Wednesday, October 24) at State Theater (Playhouse Square Center) in Cleveland, Ohio to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Meat Loaf's iconic 1977 album, "Bat Out Of Hell".

Meat Loaf released the following statement regarding the concert: "I am so blessed to be able to celebrate the 35th anniversary of 'Bat Out Of Hell' in Cleveland. To have an album that continues to be one of the top-five-selling albums to this day, there are a lot of people to thank for helping make this happen.

"On behalf of Jim Steinman and myself, we would like to thank our fans, all those involved in the making of 'Bat Out Of Hell' (from musicians to production),past and present members of THE NEVERLAND EXPRESS, and without a doubt, the catalyst of its success, Steve Popovich. Without Steve's passion, dogged determination and belief in what we had created, 'Bat Out Of Hell' would not exist today.

"In tribute to the vital role played by Steve, a portion of the ticket sales for our October 24th anniversary show at the State Theater will benefit The Steve Popovich Legacy Foundation."
